Life

I thought I would actually write something really quick.  We are at Mom's house waiting for Jennie's bed to drain so that we can move her out.  That's weird.  Jennie is still supposed to be the cute little kid who brings us drinks and does whatever we ask her.  Now she's a cute big kid who's old enough to live on her own.  When did she get old?  I remember right after she learned to drive she came over to my house to watch the kids, and as she was driving away I had this really weird "Is that Jennie?" feeling.  I guess we're all just getting older.  Not grown up by any means (hmmmph . . . Jeff and Brad, and Randi.  I think Jennie and I are the only mature ones here.  I am TOO MATURE RANDI!  I can just see her laughing!)  Anyway, I guess I was just feeling thoughtful for a minute.  Don't worry, it doesn't happen often.

Anyway, life for the Gees is about the same.  Robbie went back to preschool today and he is totally excited.  He is really ready for kindergarden next year.  He is even learning to read some words.  Amazing!  Emily is just Emily.  A little whiny, a little independent, a little bossy and a lot cute.  Adam is just about normal.  He hasn't been feeling very well, so he's clingy.  Jon loves that because he clings to him!  (That's about half true and half sarcasm!)  The other night he woke up at about 11:00 and so he came and watched TV with us.  He was really awake and pretty wired.  He was smiling, so I told him to stop smiling, and he looked at me, scrunched up his eyes and smiled.  It was the cutest thing ever.

As for Jon and I life is the same.  We spent the weekend working around the house.  We actually put Christmas all away, including the lights!  Jon put up a ceiling fan and a light fixture in the office so you don't bonk your head anymore.  We just relaxed and enjoyed being together as a family.  It was kind of nice.  LIfe gets so hectic sometimes.  Anyway, I need to end.  My kids are outside probably getting in Uncle Brad's way as he cinches Jennie's stuff to the trailer with probably 50 ties.  Peace out!
