1 week, 2500 miles, 45 hours in the car, and one nervous breakdown later, we are home from our wonderful trip to Utah. Okay, I was kidding about the nervous breakdown. I am sitting here in my house, which is much more comfortable and much bigger than a hotel room, and I am so thankful. I am thankful for the wonderful trip we had to Utah. I am thankful for the chance I had to watch my son play endlessly in the snow as if it was the most magical event of his life. I am thankful for the time I had to be with my family. I am thankful that Adam didn't cry the whole way home. I am thankful that snowmobiles are much better than they used to be so that I am not snowed in at the cabin. I am thankful for the internet that I missed. I am thankful for my wonderful husband who didn't laugh at me when I wanted to go to Utah with only two weeks notice (that's not very much for us!). I am thankful for all the uncles and aunts and grandparents who played with my kids. I am thankful for Atlantis Burger and Neilsens Frozen Custard - those two alone made the drive worth it! I am thankful for Temple Square and the spirit that is there. I am thankful for Texas and that I don't have to drive through snow everyday. I am thankful for the beauty of the mountains and the knowledge that Heavenly Father loves me enough to put them there for me. I am thankful that we were all safe. I am thankful for a break from normal life. I am thankful to be home and to sleep in my own bed. I am thankful for the memories that I will always have. Thank you to all my wonderful family for all you did for us so that me and my little family could have that experience and create those memories. We love you! I'll post pictures later, after I have slept in my nice soft bed!
