Modesty

Tonight, I was watching TV while the kids played in the gameroom.  I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I was watching "Dancing With the Stars."  (Sidenote:  I started watching it because Mark Cuban was on.  Since we're such huge Mavs fans, and he's the owner of the Mavs, I felt it was my duty to support him.  Then I got sucked in, and now Jon mocks me for watching it.  But it's a little addictive.  I'm not sure they make Dancing with the Stars 12 step programs.  Oh well!)  Anyway, one of the female stars was wearing a not very modest outfit.  It was basically a bikini with a cape.  We've been talking to Emily a lot about not showing off her parts, and how she needs to be modest.  She watched for a minute, and this was the conversation that followed: EMILY:  Mom, she's showing her parts! MOM:  Yes, she is.  That's not very modest, is it? EMILY:  No!  She needs to put on a shirt. MOM:  Yes, she does. EMILY:  And some pants. MOM:  I think that would be a very good idea. It was so funny!  Most people in the world would think the outfit was pretty.  Emily just thought she needed a shirt and pants.  She makes me laugh!  But maybe she won't be one of those girls at the mall that make Jon and I say "Our daughter will NEVER dress like that!"
