1st lesson - water the plants. Apparently, they don't grow if you don't water them. Who knew?
2nd lesson - do not plant seeds in dirt you have thrown over grass assuming the grass will die because it is not getting sunlight. It doesn't die. And you spend the next 6 months pulling grass out of your garden. Stupid grass.
3rd lesson - pumpkins need A LOT of room to grow. We finally gave up and pulled out all but one of our pumpkins as they were choking out other plants and taking over the yard. We were a little afraid they might eat us if we tried to pull them out, but thankfully, we survived.
4th lesson - we really shouldn't plant cucumbers because we don't know what to do with them when they grow. I mean, sure, they go in salads, but that's about it for us. Although, they do make excellent telephones . . . :-)

Ah the lessons from the garden. There are so many things to learn. I'll have to remember the cucumber phone when we get back to ours. :)
Totally off the subject...but I'm glad that you told me about this new blog, I was wondering what had happened to you. :) You must add my non-private blog to your sidebar. It will tell you whenever I've updated my private blog. Cool, huh? Anyway, the address is mother of the wild boys dot blogspot dot com. I'm glad to be back in the loop! :)
