So, today was an interesting day. It started off this morning at Jeff & Debbi's ward 4th of July Breakfast/Bike Parade. After breakfast, all of the kids decorated their bikes to ride in a parade. Since we didn't have bikes, we decorated Kelsey's stroller, and let the kids push that. All of the kids had a blast in the parade. The parking lot made a natural circle, so the kids just loved riding around it. Towards the end, Emily was pushing Kelsey again. Bekah was on the part that was uphill and hard to pedal up, so Emily went over to help her. As she went across the flow of traffic, a "big" kid on a "big" bike, basically ran them over. Emily fell down, and the entire stroller flipped over, face planting Kelsey on the pavement. Of course, Jon and I took off running. Thankfully, Emily and Kelsey were both fine. Kelsey didn't even have a scratch, which was amazing. I think Robbie was actually the most shaken up, oddly enough.
Later, we were having lunch, when all of the sudden, Robbie just threw up. All over the lunch table. Yeah, that wasn't pretty.
Then, Joseph and Robbie were playing, and somehow, Robbie got hit in the face. The good news is that it loosened an already loose tooth. The bad news is that it bled all over in order to do so.
Jeff & Debbi made us dutch oven for dinner (mmmm!). After bringing it all in, the coals were left outside. Guess who thought it would be a great idea to try and pick one up? Yep, Adam. So, he burned his hand.
After dinner, the kids were playing outside with some whiffle balls. Bekah (my niece) looked at the ball with all its holes, and decided the holes were the perfect size for her fingers. Only, they weren't. And we couldn't get it off. Jeff had to actually get tools and cut it off.
I'm not sure, but I don't know if we should set off fireworks tonight . . .
