My life is crazy. I admit it freely. I run from 6:45 in the morning to midnight. I very rarely sit down and do something restful. It has gotten worse the last several weeks. Between working out every morning, running errands, housework, picking up kids from school, homework, dinner, baseball practices and art classes, I am just a
little busy. Today, however, I had to get my air conditioning fixed in my car. I live in Texas, and last week it snowed, so this week I'll need my air conditioning. (Seriously, on Friday it's going to be 85 degrees!) But, that meant that I couldn't go anywhere. Most people would find that annoying. Not me. I got to stay home and catch up on all the things I've been neglecting. Kelsey took a 3 hour nap. Then, my friend Suzanne called and wanted to take Adam to the park to play with her daughter. Can I even tell you how heavenly that was? I didn't do anything exciting. I worked on the Easter party for Robbie's class. But do you know how nice it was to do that without Adam asking for a snack every three seconds? Thank you Suzanne, for the break! And then, I didn't even have to wait in car lines for 1 1/2 hours to pick up my other kids. Even better. Thank you to Maria for picking up my kids! So, I've had a day of peace, my house is cleaner, I had time to catch up, my car blows cold air again, and I'm not stressed out about Robbie's class party. What did this cost? It cost a mere $770. Somehow, I think it might have been worth it. :-)
