I thought I would post just a little bit about our Valentines Day. It actually turned out to be a really cool day. Jon and I kind of decided to tone down Valentines Day this year. For the kids, we just got them one of the cheap boxes of chocolates and a balloon. Plus, we heart attacked the house before they woke up. It was great! I cut out a bunch of hearts, and Jon wrote miscellaneous things on them - "Luke Skywalker rocks" and "I Love High School Musical" and "Dad is weird". The kids loved it! As for Jon and I, we decided that we wouldn't get each other anything because we just had to sign both boys up for baseball and buy numerous birthday presents. Instead, Jon got a babysitter and we actually went out on Valentines Day. We haven't done that in forever. We kind of remember why now, because there were approximately 4 million people everywhere. So, instead of waiting 1 1/2 hours anywhere, we went to Pei Wei, which was awesome. It's great food, it wasn't totally crowded, and I still got to be with Jon. It was just cool to hang out with him. We still like each other, which is just weird.
The best part of the day though was our kids. Robbie brought home a little book he had done in school about people he loves. And the entire book was about his family. It just made me smile.

Then, when we got home from our date, we went in our room to find that Emily had heart attacked our room. She had taken down some of the hearts we put up, written "I love Mom and Dad" or "Happy Valentines Day Mom and Dad" on them, and taped them above our bed.

Robbie had even taken some of the hearts and put them above his and Adam's bed. I am just so grateful for my little family and that we all love being together. I suppose that's more what Valentines Day is about than the candy, and flowers, and presents. Something simple, but really cool!
