I have become pretty immersed in politics in the last several months. I haven't posted about it, because I don't want to bore anyone, and I know most people don't share my affinity for it. But, yesterday, on my way home from errands I saw something hilarious. I was getting off the freeway, and there were two police cars on the shoulder with someone pulled over. I couldn't see who it was until I was right next to them. And I just burst out laughing. See, the person that they had pulled over was driving the Ron Paul-mobile. It had signs all over it - signs with his picture. (Sidenote: I don't think they should put Ron Paul's picture on things. Every time I see his picture I want to watch Lord of the Rings because he looks like Gandalf. Do we really want a wizard for president?) But it didn't stop with the pictures. No, this guy had little flags at the four corners of the car, like the presidents do. Now, the car looked like a 1980s Oldsmobile. Seriously funny. Do you know what the funniest part is? I couldn't figure out if they pulled him over because it's illegal to drive with flags on your car, or because he was supporting Ron Paul, so he must be seriously impaired. (I'll make my apologies now for anyone supporting Ron Paul. Hey, I'm FROM Texas and I don't like him. So, sorry!) Anyway, it just made me smile. So, enjoy/deal with my brief foray into politics. I can't promise it won't happen again, but I won't make it too much of a habit.
