Everything is better on a stick

I'm always looking for new things for dinner.  Frankly, unless it's deep fried and comes in a box stamped "McDonalds" Adam won't eat it.  But I had success tonight.  I made shisk-ka-bobs, and the kids loved them.  The same kids who will whine about eating all their chicken downed that same chicken when it was on a stick.  Robbie even asked me if he could take some for lunch tomorrow.  And Robbie doesn't EVER eat anything other than Peanut butter and jelly for lunch - including on most of the pizza days at school.  So, I'm feeling pretty good about myself.  I wonder if it would work with broccoli . . .

I did fish (tilapia) once in foil packets with veggies and stuck them in the oven. I told my kids a story about a magic something or other (it's been a year or so) and how we'd been left the most delicious dinner ever but it was a surprise- but if we didn't eat it we'd never get a visit from the dinner fairy again- or something like that. They inhaled dinner and thought eating out of foil packets was the coolest thing ever.
