*Apparently since Jon is gone, I can eat whatever I want and I don't have to go the gym. I guess if he gets to play, so do I - I just have to drag 4 kids along. Thus far, that has meant a box of valentines chocolates (okay, not a big one), half a plate of cookies, cinnamon rolls (Mmmm, thanks Sharla), Pringles (why do I love those?), and miscellaneous treats for movie night with the kids tonight. I feel nauseous. I wonder why?
*Jon is always the one who gets up first and wakes me up so that we can get the kids ready for school. With him gone, I have to actually get up - not an easy feat considering I am NOT a morning person. To make sure I didn't oversleep, I set two alarms to go off five minutes apart. I spent about 15 minutes pushing random snooze buttons until it just gets too annoying to try and figure out where the noise is coming from now. Irritating? Yes. Effective. You betcha.
*I have actually cooked all three nights. I don't do well cooking when Jon is not here. It's normally a sandwich for the kids and whatever is lying around for me. Tomorrow night is my reward for not losing or otherwise harming any of my children - we're going out to eat. (Well, as "out" as driving through McDonalds is.)
*My house is abnormally clean. Apparently Jon is the messy one in our house. Or maybe I just more time to clean since the kids go to bed at 7:30.
*Look how neat 1/2 of my bed is in the morning!

*I have awesome friends and family who keep checking on me to make sure I'm okay. I'm not sure exactly what they expect to happen, but I'm grateful they care enough to call or stop by or meet me at Sam's Club to go shopping.
So, I'm grateful that we've survived this far. I know, people do this all the time. I guess I'm a sissy. I'm used to having Jon here. The kids don't really care to talk to me, and the dog doesn't talk back. I am REALLY looking forward to Jon getting home on Sunday night!

I love you honey! Thanks for letting me come up here in the beautiful mountains. I wish that you were here with me. Someday we will!
Thanks for letting your hubby come up here! It has been great having him here!!
I am impressed you have been cooking! You deserve a night out, even if it is the golden arches. Getting up, ugh, no fun, but at least your alarm will be home soon :). I'm not sure what we expect you to do being all alone, but it does tend to get lonely. I do enjoy peaceful evenings of getting things done that I wouldn't do if my hubby were around (working on my lesson, scrapbooking, making cards, blogging :)).
Glad you're hanging in there and it was great to chat last night... oh, what movie did you rent?
Wow, I'm impressed that your house is cleaner without your hubby there. I have a hard time having the motivation to do stuff like that when Greg's not around but the kids are! You're awesome! (And I'm glad he made it back safely!) (:
