So, I was listening to the radio the other day, and they were discussing an actor and an incident that occurred at his house. And the reason that they knew about the incident was because he had "twittered" it. This kind of got me to thinking.
I'm on Facebook. I have been for a while. But I have never updated my status. Honestly, I don't think anyone wants to read inane things like "Aubrey is doing dishes" or "Aubrey is picking up the kids from school." But, that is what I do everyday. I don't have the time or energy trying to think of clever ways to state my status - "Aubrey is cleansing the dishes of their filth" or "Aubrey is retrieving her offspring from their educational babysitters." Just coming up with those two was exhausting.
I figure I could just stop doing all the boring stuff and only do exciting stuff from now on. "Aubrey is skydiving" or "Aubrey is flying to Mexico". But that is not reality.
So, here's my question. Do you actually care/take the time to read the status updates from your friends? Do you Twitter? Am I totally missing out because I am not informing the entire world of my every minute? Just something I was thinking about . . . Let me know what you think. :-) "Aubrey is done with her post!"

You are so funny! I have recently updated my status on facebook, but I'm not that interesting either. It is fun to read some of the other peoples notes on what they are doing. I guess maybe I'm missing out too :). I don't update my status unless there's somthing worth saying, but like you said, no skydiving or anything like that going on here :). Hope you have a fabulous day!
I read them. However, like you said, it might not be so interesting to read every time someone is doing their dishes! (: Maybe just update it once in a while if you feel it's something you want people to know?
i don't even know what face book is. I just recently found out about blogging from Sharla and Maria.
I totally read them! You should update... and be clever... like our cousin Austin... he is hilarious!
Think of it more like microblogging and do little tid bits and ask retorical questions. Things like...
"Why do my kids always find it necessary to bring colds home from school?" or "Why does Emily always wipe her boogars on Robbie?" or "Why am I so weird?" You know... stuff like that. :)
