Going Green

Last year on St. Patricks Day, one of my friends posted on her blog about what she did to celebrate. So, I did what any self-respecting mom would do, and borrowed the idea. So, last night, we had our green dinner.

We had green spaghetti (totally gross looking!), green salad, green apples, green soda and garlic bread (hey, it had green flakes on it!).

We then finished off our green dinner with green cupcakes.

After dinner, we had a treasure hunt to find the Leprechaun's gold. After following the clues, the kids found the treasure in the washing machine. Since I couldn't find individual gold coins, I used Hershey's Nuggets instead since they look like little gold bricks.

We had a fabulous time! Thanks Shauntae for the idea! Everyone loved it!

Way to be a fun mom. I bet you even remembered to have them wear green to school... unlike some of us. I tried to do fun stuff last year and that darn green milk sat in the fridge until I tossed it and no one ate dinner.

That sounds so much fun! I wish I thought of great ideas like that! Next year I want to do that. Tell me what you are going to do for Easter so I can steal your ideas!
