I think I
might finally be recovered enough to write about Cub Scout Day Camp without becoming exhausted just thinking about it. I will attempt to condense the whole week. We'll see how that goes!
This was Robbie's first year, and he had a blast.

Emily and Adam got to participate in the sibling den, which meant they got to do most of the same stuff Robbie did. As for me, well, I was the assistant supervisor in the Tot Lot (i.e. the little kids). I wasn't
too excited to be there the entire week, but at least it was air conditioned! And I actually ended up having a pretty good time. Oh, and did I mention it was air conditioned?

The theme was Medieval Times, which was a lot of fun. One day during lunch, they even had knights from the Medieval Times dinner show come. It was really cool!

The kids got to do woodworking.

And archery.

And BB guns.

And a rope bridge.

And songs and games.

And water wars.

And volleyball .

And crafts.

And a black plague simulation (My favorite quote of the week: Emily - "Mom, look, I got the plague!") and marbles and human chess and the closing ceremony and skits, and a million other little things.

Hmm, I think that might have been some of the best money I ever spent! What a fabulous (and exhausting) week!
[Big props to Maria for all

WHEW!!! What a week?! I'm glad that you survived. "Mom, look, I got the plague!" is PRICELESS!!! That is too funny! Your kids are getting so big!
Wow, a weeklong camp? Ethan and I went together for his ONE day camp...and I was exhausted after that! You're a trooper. :)
Way to go! I still haven't blogged about that - I need to go through the pictures (eek). And HEY! I don't remember giving you any pictures that had me in it! Cheater! (;
Hopefully (a little like childbirth) we will have forgotten the hard stuff enough to volunteer again next year. (:
