Six Flags Over Texas

After reading a grueling SIX hours over a 5 week period *sarcasm*, my two older kids earned a free ticket to Six Flags. Since we didn't take them last year when they earned it, we figured it was about time we made the trek. Here are some things we heard throughout the day:

"That was totally wicked." -Robbie after riding the bobsled things.

"I feel nauseous." -Jon and Aubrey at multiple times during the day.

"This is the best day EVER!" -Every kid at some point during the day.

"I am not 17 anymore." -Jon and Aubrey at multiple times during the day.

"Sitting on a bench." -Kelsey when asked what her favorite thing of the day was. (She spent a lot of time sitting on a bench!)

"My back hurts." -Jon and Aubrey at multiple times during the day.

All in all, it was a great day. We went on the one "cool" day of the week (meaning it only got up to 95 instead of 105), the crowds were minimal (we only waited about 10 minutes for the log ride!), no one got lost/sunburned/threw up/had a temper tantrum, we didn't go on ONE kiddie ride and we took a 2 hour nap break at Mom's house . . . in the air conditioning. Perfect!

I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for 6 Flags...my first job was as a front gate attendant there! One of these days I'll have to travel out there with my boys, before I get too old for the rides. ;)
