We had a great time. Thursday night, we decided to take a Segway tour of downtown Austin. If you have no clue what a Segway is, you really need to watch THIS (It's about the 1:15 mark, but your life will not be complete unless you watch the whole thing). And, yes, we totally felt "white and nerdy." :-) But it was an absolute blast! Here's a few pics and a couple videos of our mad Segway skills.
Friday we decided to head down to New Braunfels and float the Comal River. It was awesome! The water was a balmy (and by balmy I mean COLD) 70 degrees, which was perfect on a hot day. We floated for a couple hours, got really sunburned (we're STILL peeling two weeks later!) and just relaxed. No pics though because I kinda like my camera and didn't want to ruin it.
Saturday was our relaxing day. We saw a movie. And took a nap. And hiked a grueling five minutes the "highest" point in Austin - Mt. Bonnell coming in at a whopping 785 feet. And got a yummy dinner (mmm, steak) followed by even yummier cheesecake. And relaxed some more.

Sunday we basically slept in and headed back up to Temple to go to church with the VBs. It was an awesome, and RELAXING, vacation! Thanks Rand & CJ - you guys rock!

Thanks for the White & Nerdy video, my life is now complete. :-) And the videos of ya'll on the Segways....awesome!! I'm so glad that you could go on a fun trip sans kiddos.
Yay - my day is now complete, after seeing videos and photos of you on a Segway! I love how Jon was cautioning you not to go in the street or hit the tree. (;
And I LOVE that "White and Nerdy" song! My kids didn't remember seeing the video, so we all gathered around and had an enjoyable couple of minutes.
