After 11 years of dedicated service, selfless sacrifice and unwavering devotion, we lost a faithful and valued family member last week. This family member has entertained our children, and our children in return have loved this family member. This family member was the one who told me about important world events - like 9/11 - and shared the joys of the Dallas Mavericks winning games. This family member was there when I was bored, and when I just didn't want to do anything. This family member has witnessed birthday parties, family fun, holidays, 4 moves, family prayers and the growing up of 4 small kids and two adults.

So, rest in peace Sony TV. As the kids informed me, they're probably going to die without you. (Melodramatic much?) More accurately, I think they informed me they would die if we didn't get a new TV. Silly kids!

This post cracked me up! Best TV obituary EVER. :)
This is the chance to finally get a flatscreen and/or widescreen TV, right? (:
This made me laugh.. and then think..I think it is a good thing that TV's are only one way devices! I bet they could report many interesting things in our lives!! May your TV rest in peace.. for once... and may your new one be as resilient :)
