When we were kids, we had lots of favorite games when we traveled. There was the alphabet game where you had to find all the letters in the alphabet on signs as you drove. There was "I Spy". But one of my favorites was Tally-ho. This was a very simple game where you had to be the first one to spot the green mile markers on the highway. As an adult, I have realized this isn't a very hard game. You just watch the odometer. But as a kid, we were glued to the road. Jon and I just discovered the perfect place to play Tally-ho . . . Tennessee. See, in Tennessee they must have a lot of spare time on their hands. They have the mile markers not every mile. Not even every half mile. They have one every .2 miles. So, for instance, it started to rain at mile 70.2. And it stopped raining at mile 89.6. Very useful, and pretty easy to play the game with! Just an amusing travel tidbit!
