Chapel Creek Ward Campout

Last night was our ward campout. Here are a few steps we learned for effective camping:

1. Make sure and cram everything you could possibly need for 18 hours into your car - Don't forget the kids.

2. Hike to the lake to watch the sun set . . . even if the sun goes behind a cloud before it actually sets.

3. Two hiking sticks are always better than one.

4. Stay hydrated - especially when it's warm and VERY humid.

5. If you get bored around camp, there is always something fun in the car . . . like super glue. (Thanks Aunt Randi!)

6. Take a Dad along. They're kind of entertaining.

7. Don't miss a photo op in the flowers.

8. Stay away from the weeds - they really are bigger in Texas!

9. There's always time for a good old-fashioned sack race.

10. Get a good nap in when you get home - you probably didn't sleep a lot due to the coyote chorus that you heard all night.

Cute photos! I'm glad you had a good time. Sorry we missed the fun... well, accept for the humidity, coyotes, and such. I'm just not willing to camp alone (while Jeff studies)with 4 kids either :)

Those are cute photos the last time I attended something like that was in 1973 and I had a record player that ran on batteries I made the mistake of not picking up batteries for my record player but the people in the next camp over left real early so I was able to plug my record player in and I took my 45's with me too I was 1 of those people that if I get can't take my record player with me I get bored real easily LOL I am starting my record collection all over again I am more in to those 45's from the 60's era. and those photos are good
