I hate Thursdays. I have for the last nine months. Let me give you an idea why. This is how my day goes . . . EVERY Thursday.
Get up. Get kids ready for school. Shower. Get Kelsey & Adam ready for day. Leave at 8:20 to take Adam to preschool. Drop off Adam at preschool - in Arlington. Run random errands and hang out at Moms because it's too far to drive back and forth. Feed Kelsey lunch. Pack up lunch for Adam. Pick up Adam from preschool. Feed Adam lunch in car. Nap Kelsey in Car. Get home. Try to get Kelsey upstairs still asleep. Have about 45 minutes to unload groceries, do dishes, pick up house, fold laundry, etc. Leave to pick up kids from school. Home for 40 minutes. Have snack and do homework. Try to figure out something for dinner. Leave to take Emily to gymnastics. Sit in car and wait for Emily. Home to make dinner at 5:15.
Added to my schedule is the fact that I am normally going on less than adequate sleep. Jon is at the church late on Wednesday night, and I stay up to see him when he gets home. And a lot of Thursdays, I have something else after that. I think my favorite was the Cub Scout Blue & Gold Banquet that started at 6:00. I had to cook dinner for 60 people in 45 minutes. Thank heavens for planning and people willing to help. It is all just exhausting!
BUT, as of 5:15 today, it is officially over. Adam is done with preschool and Emily had her last gymnastics class. Woo hoo! Can you feel my joy and relief streaming to you over the internet? Seriously, it's almost palpable. There are just not words. I survived! I get normal Thursdays back! Phew, I think I'm going to bed! :-)

I'm also grateful that your Thursdays are over...at least until Kelsey goes to preschool...but that's two years away. Thanks for doing so much for our little family! You are AMAZING! I love you!
YEAH for things completed! This is just the beginning of the lazy days of summer where you can be on a schedule of YOUR choosing! YEAH!!!
You are a great mom Aubrey and I am so glad you can check this off your list!
So, I totally left a comment yesterday but now I do not know where it is... so, I am going to comment again. I have often had the thought, "I am going to call Aubrey" or "I am going to go visit Aubrey" come on Thursdays. And each time I feel deflated when I realize it is Thursday and I do not want to add any more to your burden (until this week when I asked you to watch my kids on Thursday). I am glad I can call or come over (relatively speaking) now. :-) You are awesome!
