Epiphany of the Sun Visor

Today I was driving Emily to preschool.  It had been a foggy, overcast morning.  As I was driving, the sun decided to make an appearance.  And it was one of those, blinding, eye watering, can't-keep-my-eyes-open, appearances.  So, naturally, I reached to pull down my sun visor so I could actually see where I was driving.  And, of course, that one didn't actually block the sun, so I reached over and pulled down the other one too.  And that one didn't block the sun.  Our sun visors even have an extra little part that you pull out to give you more blockage.  And THAT didn't even block the sun.  The sun was directly between the two sun visors, burning my retinas.  Then I had an epiphany.  I realized that those sun visors NEVER actually help, because by some cruel twist of nature, the sun is ALWAYS between them or off to the side.  I guess that's just life.  Oh well, hopefully my vision will return sometime!
