My Resolve is Being Tested

My last post , only about 12 hours old, is about how I am going to count my blessings when things are hard.  I think Heavenly Father must be testing me to see if I really mean it.  This morning marked the first Sunday of our return to 9:00 church.  YIPPEE!  We have been looking forward to this forever.  I managed to get myself up, get the kids dressed and fed and to church.  And we were even early so that I could put up a bulletin board for Primary.  I thought life was pretty good. Then Adam decided to throw up during sacrament.  Not just Sacrament meeting, but the actual passing of the sacrament.  So, it was quiet, and it was really disruptive.  He managed to get the floor, the pew, himself (including his back, although we're not sure how he managed that!), me, and Kelsey.  What a talented kid.  I had to frantically motion Jon down from the stand, trying to be inconspicuous.  We got him home, and a sweet sister from our ward sat with Robbie and Emily so they didn't have to come too. The blessing part of this one took me a little while.  There's not a whole lot that is good about being thrown up on during church.  I finally came up with three.  First, Kelsey had to eat anyway, so then I didn't have to figure out how to take 3 other kids with me to feed her.  Secondly, we changed Kelsey's blessing from today because Mom and Dad were gone, and it would have been a little hard with Adam throwing up all over.  Third, everyone around me was so sweet.  One brother asked if he could get me some wet paper towels.  The sister behind me passed me a bag of wet wipes.  And the other sister sat with my kids.  People amaze me sometimes!  Anyway, I have proven I can do it.  See, there are blessings even when things are hard!
