Gees Rockin' New Years Eve

Okay, it wasn't really rockin'.  In fact, there wasn't even music.  But we still had fun.  I have this weird thing about New Years Eve.  For some reason, I really want to do something every year.  Maybe it's because New Years Eve was a big deal when I was a kid.  We would all go to grandma's house and spend the night (which I think is a great tradition that should be carried on . . . ).  It was always so much fun.  But now, I'm old and married and I have kids and I'm Mormon.  Those don't add up to doing anything on New Years Eve.  So, this year we invited a couple families over.  I think we ended up with 12 kids and 10 adults.  It was fun.  Nothing earth shattering.  We had lots of food (hey, it's genetic!).  We played games.  The kids ran crazy.  We just hung out.  The boys even played Risk.  Yeah, it was the coolest party ever.  At about 10:40, we did a countdown with the kids and dropped balloons from upstairs.  The kids had a blast with their horns and the balloons!   [photopress:100_5578.jpg,full,centered] Happy New Year!
