Letter to my Kodak Easy Share

Dear Kodak Easy Share, [photopress:Camera.jpg, full, centered] I didn't mean for it to happen this way.  I was just on a date with my husband, and we were walking around Best Buy.  We were just looking at cameras.  But, before I knew it, we were bringing home a brand new, shiny camera to replace you.  Let's face it, you're a little worn out.  Most of the time when I take pictures, you freeze.  It takes roughly 15 minutes between pictures, so I miss most of the moments I was trying to capture.  Your batteries refuse to stay in and must be held in place by black electrical tape.  Your buttons don't work anymore, and one is permanently pushed in.  And the new camera was just so pretty.  And it's a Sony.  And it takes video.  And it plays a slideshow of my pictures with music to it.  And it actually zooms in.  So, I'll remember all the good times we had - all the birthday parties, all the trips to the zoo, all our Christmas celebrations, and even the births of two of our kids.  But, it's time to move on.  I'd like to say I'll remember you fondly, but that would be lying.  Cause I'm really excited about the new camera.  And you were frustrating.  Maybe I'll let Kelsey play with you so you don't feel neglected.  Thank you for your years of service. Sincerely, Aubrey
